The north west has had its first snowfall of the season, with areas above Hanging Rock, near Nundle, blanketed overnight.
It wasn’t quite a match for the winter wonderland on the southern snow fields, where 30 centimetres of fresh snow fell in two days, but it still attracted a number of sightseers and sent temperatures plummeting.
