Work didn’t quite go to plan for the driver of a concrete mixer in Newcastle today.
He was backing into position at a worksite next to the busy Pacific Highway when his rig slid on wet ground, and came to rest against a power pole.
The truck, which was carrying only a small load of cement, was pulled clear of the power pole after about two hours, without incident.
