WESTON CLAIM ANNUAL HERITAGE CUP

Weston, has won the second annual Heritage Cup, beating Adamstown in today’s grand final.

Weston suffered a blow in the first half when high profile signing, former Newcastle Jet, Kew Jaliens was taken from the field.

Nil-all at full time, the game went to a shootout, where Robbie Turnbull gave Rosebud the advantage.

The two sides traded blows, before Bears keeper Kane Runge made a vital save.

Jackson Burston put Weston in front, leaving Tom Cox needing to score, but his shot sailed wide.

The Bears claimed the trophy, while Josh Maguire was awarded the Col Curran medal as man of the match.
