SCHOOLIES STRUCK BY CAR RECOVERING IN HOSPITAL

Two northern rivers teenagers struck by a car while celebrating schoolies on the Gold Coast are recovering in hospital.
Just before 9 o’clock on Monday, 18-year-old Tia Lumley-Mancell and 18-year-old David Whitelock from Kadina High were hit by a car while using a pedestrian crossing at Main Beach.
Both were rushed to Gold Coast Hospital with head injuries.
Their conditions have since been downgraded to stable.
The 19-year-old driver has not been charged.
