Accused murderer Benjamin Batterham has pleaded guilty to high-range drink driving…while on bail.
The 34-year-old was excused from appearing before Newcastle Local Court today…instead his solicitor entered the plea on his behalf.
Batterham was charged on Saturday morning – recording a blood alcohol reading of zero-point-164 – more than three times the legal limit.
He was pulled over by police at Adamstown…after failing to stop at an earlier RBT at New Lambton.
Batterham was on bail…after being charged with the murder of Ricky Slater Dickson back in March 2016.
He’ll be sentenced for the drink driver matter next month.
