REPTILE PARK’S CHILLING FUNNEL WEB VIDEO GOES VIRAL

It’s the stuff of nightmares.

Footage from the Australian Reptile Park, capturing baby funnel web spiders emerging from an egg sack, has gone viral.

The creepy-crawlies have racked up over half a million views in 48-hours.

It comes as Reptile Park staff are encouraging adult members of the community to bring the spiders in, when they spot them.

Their venom can be used to save lives as part of Australia’s anti-venom program.

But staff say this manoeuvre should only be attempted in situations where you feel safe.
