The region’s second windfarm is beginning to take shape on the Northern Tablelands.
Located between Glen Innes and Inverell, the Sapphire Windfarm will house 75 turbines – with nine already complete.
Construction is due for completion in August this year and once finished it will be the state’s largest windfarm, generating enough electricity to power 115,000 homes annually.
