BUNNY HOPPING HITS NORTH COAST

Not all the bunnies were keen on the idea.

But for the majority of these fluffy creatures, they were living it up.

“It’s something really interesting, something I’ve never seen before so of course the young ones love it”.

It all started as a dream of Goonellabah resident Fran Boston about six years ago.

She’s now the co-founder of the NSW Rabbit Hopping and Companion Club.

Her aim is to get rabbit owners to bring their pets out of the backyard and into their full potential.

“High jump, they can jump 99, the record is 99.5cm and long jump is a 3 metres”.

But from the looks of things, these rabbits still have a long way to go.

Best to start them early.

“We’re going to hopefully have training in two venues, Coffs Harbour and Lismore, will traininig sessions on a Tuesday and Thursdayat Kadina Park”.

The basic course starts at around 9cms high and runs through to 50cms.

“I think it will be fun.”
