A man who escaped from Cessnock Correctional Complex earlier today has been recaptured.
Minimum security inmate Benjamin Scott was serving a 12 month sentence for assault, robbery and driving offences.
He sparked a police search when he left the facility at about 10am.
The 31-year-old was found this afternoon at Mount Druitt.
