TEEN CHARGED OVER CENTRAL COAST TRAIN STATION ASSAULT

A teenager will face court today accused of bashing a man at Narara train station and assaulting a police officer last night.

Police say the 16-year-old boy punched the 31-year-old man in the face and demanded his mobile phone.

It’s believe the teen then smashed the phone before continuing to attack the Morisset commuter and stomping on his head.

The man suffered severe head injuries and was taken to Gosford Hospital.

Police arrested the teenager a short time later.

They’ll allege he threatened one officer, then punched another in the face after being taken to Gosford police station.
