An unusual sight in Swansea.
Hunter Water is drilling a 300-metre long, 20-metre deep tunnel beneath the channel for a new pipeline.
“We have an existing water pipe that crosses the Swansea Bridge that services all of the areas south of the bridge, if that were to fail, given the location it would be difficult to repair,” Darren Cleary from Hunter Water said.
The new one should improve water security.
