The big names have taken to the water at the Port Stephens Toyota Pro – and they certainly impressed.
Picturesque conditions greeted surfers, as the event edges towards the business end.
But there was late drama this afternoon.
Phillipa Anderson was on track to progress in her round five heat, before it was cut short after a shark sighting.
The surfers were pulled out of the water and the day’s competition finished.
A decision on whether Anderson’s heat will restart, or continue from where it was, will be made tomorrow morning.
