Hardly any cloud at all sits over the north of the country at the moment.
There is a large streak of jet stream cloud flowing across southern Australia. This is going to help produce rain locally in the coming days.
A succession of fronts are passing the south-east today.
These will move in across the region tonight helping to switch the winds around to the south, cooling the weekend.
The change will increase cloud while producing a few showers for the Hunter and Mid-North Coast before spreading north on Sunday.
Rain to develop on Monday.
