Police say a man found unconscious near a supermarket on the Central Coast last night was the victim of an assault.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the Pacific Highway in Wyoming, just before 11pm.
The 39-year-old man was taken to Gosford Hospital with serious head injuries, before being airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital.
