JACARANDA QUEEN CROWNED IN GRAFTON

The city of Grafton has a new Queen with the crowning of the 2017 Jacaranda Queen, Alana Gordon on the weekend.

There were seven entrants in the year’s quest, which has been staged since 1943.

Saturday night’s event, which was attended by around 3500 people, also saw the crowning of the Junior Jacaranda Queen, Holly Blundell.

All the candidates will take part in float procession in Grafton next Saturday evening.
