PORT MISS OUT ON STATE TRIPLES TITLE

Port City Bowling Club has missed out on a state lawn bowls title, going down to Belrose in this afternoon’s State Triples final in Ettalong.

Bryce Stewart, Callum Murray & Jack Lewis all held on for almost four hours of play, but lost 29 to 13.

Tomorrow, Park Beach’s Cory Daley and Craig Donaldson will face Sydney team Harbord in the state pairs.

While Tuncurry will verse western team Molong.

Reigning champions Aron Sherriff and Lee Trethowan will also hit the green, the Ettalong team is searching for a record-breaking third state title.
