RAIN INTERRUPTS NDCA MATCHES

The rain disrupted round four of Newcastle District Cricket.

Number One sportsground and Stockton were unplayable, while several other matches started late.

Charlestown accounted for Wests and the students overcame Cardiff.

Despite a Josh Westwood century, Toronto lost to Wallsend by two runs.

While Merewether wasn’t troubled by Waratah Mayfield.

At Townson Oval, the match shortened to 20 overs due to the wet ground.

Waratah made an early breakthrough, but Merewether’s attack fired – eventually putting on 127.
