A 17-year-old boy is dead after a single-vehicle crash on the Mid North Coast.
Police say the vehicle crashed on Cedar Party Road at Cedar Party, between Taree and Wingham, about 2:30 this morning.
An 18-year-old man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was conveyed to Manning Base Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver, a 20-year-old man, is assisting police after undergoing mandatory blood and urine testing.
Police allege the vehicle had come to their attention shortly before crashing.
A critical incident investigation has been launched.
