To cricket now and the season kicked offon the Mid North Coast today under a new format.
Now the McDonalds Premier League, seeing the three former districts, Macleay, Hasting and Manning merge for a first grade comp.
It’s hoped the move will increase competition levels.
“This Premier League has sort of been in the motion for 17 years, and people we’re game enough to take that next step. It’s sort of come to a hilt now” said Gordon Cross.
The first game was played by Taree United and Port Pirates at Chatham Oval.
