KAILANI CRAINE BOOKS A 2018 WINTER OLYMPICS BERTH

Newcastle’s Kailani Craine has claimed gold at the International Skating Union’s Nebelhorn Trophy, booking a place at next year’s Winter Olympics in South Korea.

The 19-year-old led after the opening day of competition in Germany, and despite finishing second in the free skating category, claimed the overall title by less than a point.
