A Tamworth woman was trapped in an elevator for around an hour this morning after it malfunctioned.
Emergency services were called to a Peel Street business shortly after 9.30 when the lift became stuck on the first floor of the three-storey building.
Due to the age and size of the lift, Ambulance rescue paramedics were forced to wait for electricians, to gain access.
“You are doing well. Okay, we are working on the problem, like I said I’m not leaving this doors, so I am right here.”
But the woman wasn’t alone in the lift – her granddaughter keeping her company on facetime.
