HUNDREDS WALK TO ‘D-FEET MND’
There was a sea of blue in Port Macquarie today, as hundreds took part in a five kilometre charity walk for Motor Neurone Disease.
Making their way from Westport Park to Town Beach and back, the 7th annual Walk to D-Feet MND event helped raise awareness and funds for the isolating condition.
“People really do feel like nobody knows what they’re going through and so to have a huge gathering like this where people do actually understand I think really helps people,” CEO MND NSW Graham Opie says.
So far they’ve raised more than $15,000.
