MUSIC THERAPY PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN WITH AUTISM BEGINS
A new music therapy program for children with Autism is already proving popular among Central Coast families.
The Tuggerah Lakes Salvation Army kicked it off yesterday, thanks to a $12, 000 donation from the state government.
The money pays for a music therapist who’ll lead weekly sessions.
“Many of them are able to express themselves through music and it enables them and teaches them things like taking turns, but also allows them to grow in their confidence and communication.”
