QUARTERS FOR CARMICHAEL

Avoca’s Wade Carmichael is through to the quarterfinals of the Azores Airlines Pro in Portugal.

His first wave proved to be his strongest, posting a 8.27 which kept him in the lead for the whole heat.

The 25-year-old finished with a solid 14.30, he’ll now face Brazil’s Peterson Crisanto tonight.
