Tamworth basketball product Nick Kay will make his debut for the Boomers tonight, when they take on Japan, in round one of the Asia Cup in Lebanon.
It’s the first year Australia has participated in the tournament.
It represents a rapid rise in the sport for the former Thunderbolt, who has only just completed his second season in the National Basketball League.
