GRAFTON A STATE HOTSPOT FOR ANIMAL-RELATED COLLISIONS

Far North Coast drivers are urged to be alert at the wheel with new data showing the region has one of the highest rates of animal-related collisions in Australia.

Grafton is the state’s seventh worst hotspot with 66 insurance claims through the NRMA last year.

While on the Northern Rivers, the Richmond Valley topped the list with 48.

Kangaroos proved to be the biggest danger, accounting for 75 percent of accidents.
