Police have confirmed two people have died in a crash between a truck and car north of Bendemeer.
Emergency services were called to the New England Highway just before 1:30pm, following reports a sedan had hit a stationary truck.
The female driver of the car and her male passenger, both believed to be aged in their 60s, died at the scene.
The 40-year-old driver of the truck was uninjured and taken to Armidale Hospital for mandatory testing.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
