The Sex Crimes Squad have arrested and charged a man with online child exploitation offences on the state’s Central Coast.
The 47-year-old man is expected to face Wyong Local Court today after detectives from Strike Force Trawler made the arrest in Lake Haven yesterday morning.
Investigations started back in May, when officers, pretending to be a 14-year-old girl, allegedly started engaging in sexually explicit conversations with the man online.
Police will also allege the man made arrangements to meet the child.
Following the arrest, strike force officers executed a search warrant at a home at Watanobbi, where they seized electronic devices for forensic examination.
