After nine gruelling months, one of the world’s toughest sailing events – the Volvo Ocean Race – has finally wrapped up.
The 72-thousand kilometre journey from Spain, which started last October, has finished in The Hague, with teams given a hero’s welcome.
Dongfeng Race Team took the trophy.
Akzonobel, featuring Lake Macquarie’s Chris Nicholson, came in second.
Kyle Langford’s Team Brunel finished fourth overall.
