HOONS DAMAGE TUFFINS LANE

Port Macquarie’s Tuffins Lane will remain closed to sporting groups this weekend, following a senseless act of vandalism.

Hoons recently tore through the fields in a car, ripping up the muddy surface.

Maintenance workers aren’t expecting to repair the damage until next week, because the ground is still too wet for machinery.

The fields are used regularly by junior soccer teams.
