NSW Rural Firefighters are working on containing a five-hectare blaze on the Central Coast this afternoon.
The service was called to the fire near Birdie Beach Drive at Lake Munmorah around 1pm, before putting nearby homes on heightened alert.
However, spokesperson, Ben Shepard says homes are yet to be evacuated and is confident residents won’t be impacted.
The cause is unknown.
