STICHING GOOD TIME AT CROCHETING WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT

Singleton could soon feature in the Guinness World Records.

More than 600 people today stitched their way through an attempt to set a new mark, for the most people crocheting simultaneously.

“What’s your crocheting expertise like? Pretty limited – I can do a blanket, but I can’t really do much more than that – maybe I’ll get some pointers!”

The current record of 485 people was set in Nigeria in 2015.

It’s set to be a nervous wait here though – it could take up to 12 months to learn whether Singleton has it sewn up.
