KIWI CROQUET PLAYERS HIT THE HUNTER

Just a day after celebrating the Anzac bond between Australia and New Zealand, the two nations went head to head on a croquet green in Newcastle.
More than a dozen players from the Fendalton Club in Christchurch squared off against some of our best locals.
Even a pitch invasion didn’t stir up controversy.
“It’s been a very friendly game so far, what we call a fun day. So it’s not very serious.”
The New Zealand contingent is currently touring the coast of New South Wales, playing matches against clubs from Sydney up to the North Coast.
