WOMAN SURVIVES 60 METRE FALL FROM LENNOX HEADLAND

A 45-year-old woman has escaped serious injury, after falling up to 60 metres from the Lennox Headland overnight.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the area at around 7.30, and winched the woman to safety.

She suffered lacerations and chest injuries, and remains in a stable condition at Lismore Base Hospital.
