ONE-STOP SHOP FOR WOMEN’S HEALTH PROPOSED IN TAMWORTH
A proposal has been submitted to the state’s Health Minister to fund a multi-purpose women’s health centre in Tamworth.
The facility would be a one-stop-shop, with a GP service, physiotherapist and dietitian.
The centre would also be seen as a safe house for women experiencing domestic violence.
“To actually have a one-stop shop for women to be able to, women of all ages to be able to go to to access a huge range of services to address their physical needs as well as their emotional needs and their safety.”
The facility is expected to cost over $1-million.
