A woman has died, after the car she was travelling in crashed into a tree south of Forster.
Police say the Nissan X-Trail was heading east along Tropic Gardens Drive at Smiths Lake, when it left the road and hit a tree around one o’clock.
The female passenger died at the scene, while the male driver was treated for minor injuries.
Crash investigators are now working to determine the cause of the crash.
