An end is in sight to Inverell Hospital’s staffing woes with Hunter New England Health today announcing a successful medical contract has been finalised.
Medical Directions Australia will operate the hospital’s emergency department and G-P services commencing April 1st.
There will be a doctor available 24/7 for patients from a rotating team of 10 medical officers.
The staffing issues at Inverell Hospital were brought into the spotlight late last year, after it was revealed that no doctors were on duty for 14 days in November.
