Emergency services were forced to extricate a man from his vehicle, following a rollover on the Summerland Way, just north of Whiporie, yesterday afternoon.
The Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter was tasked to the scene shortly after 1pm.
The helicopter crew, police, paramedics, the RFS and VRA worked together to free the man, who is believed to be aged in his 60s.
He was then treated at the scene for lacerations to his legs as well as chest and pelvis injuries, before being airlifted to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.
