BREAKING | An Irrawang High School student has died after being struck by a bus in Raymond Terrace this morning.
The accident happened on Mount Hall Road around 8:30am.
The 17-year-old was trapped under the bus and sadly died at the scene.
New South Wales Ambulance Inspector Matt Hawke says it was a distressing scene.
“Ambulance Chaplains and clinical psychologists also responded supporting witnesses and emergency services personnel.”
“It is a tough day for everybody involved,” Insp Hawke said.
Police have established a crime scene with traffic diversions in place from Closebourne and Banks Streets.
