A woman has died in a single vehicle crash in Medowie, near Port Stephens today.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Abundance Drive and Lisadell Road at about 10.50am, following reports of a crash.
Initial investigations suggest the woman was travelling east on Lisadell Road, when the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
The driver, a 71-year-old woman, died at the scene.
Police are urging witnesses to the crash to come forward.
