POLICE OFFICER ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTED ON THE MID NORTH COAST

Two men have been charged, following the alleged assault of a police officer at South West Rocks last night.

The pair – aged 35 and 40 – allegedly swore at the officer, after he pulled over their car.

The younger man is then accused of punching him in the mouth, damaging his teeth.

Both were granted bail, to face court next month.
