A fire at Kings Forest, west of Casuarina on the Tweed Coast, has been brought under control, after it jumped containment lines on Tweed Valley Way. Strong southerlies were fanning flames toward homes at Casuarina and Kingscliff – but there is no longer a threat. New South Wales fire rescue crews have stood down. Rural fire fighters will carry out a perimeter burn.
