ACTIVE ‘ICE’ LAB RAIDED, FIREARMS AND DRUGS SEIZED, ON FAR NORTH COAST

Two men have been arrested during a raid on a ‘live’ clandestine drug lab used to manufacture ice on the far north coast this morning.

The raid in Tenterfield was part of operation Strike Force Thermal, and was one of 7 coordinated raids on properties across 12 hours in the region.

Two properties in Casino were targeted, as well as addresses in Tenterfied, Teven, The Pinnacles near Grafton, Tappville, and one other property in South-East Queensland.

Firearms and large amounts of cash were also seized in the raids.

Strike Force Thermal was set up earlier this year to investigate the manufacture and supply of ice in Casino.
