A man who allegedly carjacked two vehicles in the Hunter Valley at the weekend has been charged.
The 21-year-old was arrested after a short struggle with officers, near a roundabout on Anderson Drive at Beresfield on Sunday afternoon.
It’s alleged earlier in the day he’d assaulted a woman at a nearby car park, stealing her car before he crashed it near the roundabout.
Police will further allege the man attempted to steal a second vehicle, punching the driver through an open window.
He was charged with a string of offences including resisting police and destroying property.
Four others have been charged in relation to the incident.
