Police are investigating a bizarre case where four prized cattle were found slain near Grafton.
Two cows were found shot dead on a property on the Gwydir Highway in Cangai earlier this month, while two bulls were found dead at a nearby property on Coombadja Road.
The cattle have a combined value of $8000.
