RIDER DIES AFTER COLLISION NEAR QUEENSLAND BORDER

A 22-year-old man has died in a fatal collision between a ute and a motorbike in the state’s far north.

At about 10.15am yesterday two vehicles collided at the intersection of Numinbah Road and Couchy Creek Road, at Numinbah, near the Queensland border.

The rider of the motorcycle died at the scene, the 87-year-old man driver of the ute was uninjured and taken to Murwillumbah Hospital for mandatory testing.
