MORE INDIGENOUS STUDENTS ENTERING KEMPSEY WORKFORCE

North Coast TAFE students put weeks of work on show in Kempsey on Thursday, as part of their conservation land management course.
Funded by NORTEC and local councils, the program is used to encourage more indigenous students to enter the workforce.
Students have been working on several tasks including weed control, bush regeneration and fixing fences.
“It’s just been a pleasure working with them and teaching them for the last 26 weeks and I just couldn’t be prouder of them.” – Barry Vale, Kempsey TAFE Teacher.
Project managers got a look at the final product, alongside Federal Member for Cowper Pat Conaghan.
