A grandmother has died in hospital following a house fire in Lake Macquarie on Sunday night.
63-year-old Pam Wilds was found unconscious in her Pelican home and airlifted to Royal North Shore…but was unable to recover from her injuries.
Her 18-year-old neighbour, Robert Kidd, charged into the flames to try and rescue her – he remains in a stable condition.
