Tamworth’s old saleyard site is set to be the home of a $300 million grain refinery, which is expected to create 100 full-time jobs.
Primary Food Company has finalised the purchase of the Goddard Lane property, which was made redundant when the $17 million Tamworth Regional Livestock Exchange opened in 2013.
The refinery will process up to 500,000 tonnes of wheat waste into flour, protein extract and ethanol.
