The use of art as mental health therapy will be in the spotlight next month, at Taree’s annual ‘Brushes with Life’ exhibition.
The event will showcase around 200 artworks, created throughout the year in specialised workshops.
“We’re wanting to destigmatise I guess mental health and show that people who live with mental health issues have a lot to contribute to the community.”
The four day exhibition begins on October 6.
